Follow these instructions carefully to ensure safe usage of your new Rack N Ride eTrike & eBike Double carrier.
You must secure your eTrike & eBike at a minimum of six points each, using MX tie-downs or ratchet straps attached to the frame, handlebars, triple clamp, crash bars, rear tire or foot pegs. This is essential for safety and is easily achieved.
Securing your bike from the frame to the main bar into the tow bar receiver is the strongest option.
We recommend strapping off the frame at 2 points each side.
The front tie down bar provides another set of anchor points to use additional back up straps.
Making your eTrike & eBike secure: On the inside, closest to vehicle, use the trailer safety chain shackle points, if you strap from here up to your trikes and bikes frame diagonally you are securing the bike to the vehicle, this is very effective at limiting movement.
